Adam Paine grew up in northern Virginia and graduated from The Art Institute of Atlanta, where he studied Photographic Imaging (2003-2006). His family was a major influence in following a career in arts. His father Howard E. Paine and mother Jane D’Alelio are both successful art directors for such clients as National Geographic, United States Postal Service, and Trial Magazine.

In 2005 Adam started work as a freelance photographer for Trial Magazine (a national magazine based in Washington D.C.) Since then he has photographed over 15 covers and 40 inside spreads. Assignments include Workers Rights, Product liability, Green Law and Medical Negligence.

Adam has also been a freelance photographer for the Times Community Newspaper group based in Northern VA, with a circulation of nearly 250,000 weekly. He is also a member of APA, NPPA, and ASMP.

He has received numerous honours such as
  • 1’st Place in Central Coast's Pix Contest, Portraiture division.
  • Photo.net photo of the week June 2005
  • Gold medal from Worth 1000 digital post production contest.
Adam will be attending The Art Institute of Washington D.C. in January 2009 to complete his BFA. As a freelance Editorial Photographer, Adam is actively increasing his commercial portfolio.
